Staff Corner

“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

2 Corinthians 4: 1-2

Being a staff member at Camp Concern is a great honor and responsibility. Many of us who work at Camp Concern feel that we get as much out of a week of camp as we put in to it (maybe even more!) Many of our staff members attended Camp Concern as campers, were bitten by the camp “bug” (even bug spray can’t keep this bug from biting!), and continue to attend camp as staff members.  Whether we are counseling 8 year olds with runny noses and dirty t-shirts...13 year olds with crushes and CD players...or 16 year olds asking about baptism...we take our jobs very seriously.  Why?  Because we love God, we love the ministry of Camp Concern, and we love the campers He lets us get to know each summer.

6th Annual Camp Concern Staff Day

 Saturday, June 30, 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Holiday Park Church of Christ, Plum, PA

For Staff Members of ALL Camp Concern Sessions

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this Camp Concern kick-off event, as we get ready for our roles in the Camp ministry.  We will spend time in prayer for the five sessions of Camp Concern, participate in devotionals to help us prepare our minds, enjoy fellowship and fun together, meet with our director(s), learn some new songs and have a meal together.

The idea behind the Staff Day is to provide the staff members of all weeks the opportunity to:

 (1) share thoughts about their involvement with Camp Concern

(2) spend time together in prayer for the upcoming camp weeks

(3) participate in a devotional together

(4) prepare our hearts and minds for the camp ministry

(5) enjoy some time together

(6) hear about the new policies and practices being implemented

(7) receive and share helpful information about being the best staff members we can be

The Camp Concern Board of Directors sincerely hopes that you will plan on attending this Staff Day.  It is our prayer that we will all be uplifted and encouraged by this day together, and that we will all approach this awesome ministry prepared and excited.

In order for us to properly prepare lunch and snacks, please let us know you’re planning to attend.  RSVP to Heather Zambito at zambito@comcast.net.

And…thank you for your devotion to Camp Concern!

See you at Staff Day June 30!
